Watching some guy light his pipe, smoke his pipe, and blab about the weather is about as interesting as watching someone eat a burger.
True, for fellow pipe smokers who have been at it the same or less time as them. I know you youngsters think you know as much as your elders, if not more. I thought so too when I was in my 20s-30s. I didn't think another 20 years of experience counted for much. 20 years later I admit I was wrong, and so will you, trust me.Just because someone is half your age and only been smoking a few years doesn't mean that they can't provide good information for fellow pipe smokers.
Exactly.Watching some guy light his pipe, smoke his pipe, and blab about the weather is about as interesting as watching someone eat a burger.
Most of the YTPC videos that I've seen pack about 30 seconds of interesting content into 10 minutes of video (plus lots of traffic/wind noise mixed in for good measure).

True years of experience does have its place, but just because you've been doing something one way for years doesn't mean there isn't a better way and/or a better method etc or that you're even doing it correctly. Just because someone is younger and/or has less experience smoking a pipe doesn't mean you can't gain knowledge from them. Its always good to have an open mind, and sometimes trying new things can improve the experience. You shouldn't immediately discredit a pipe smoker and his methods because they're younger and/or have less experience. The saying "you can't teach an old dog new tricks" is false, the dog just has to be open to learning.True, for fellow pipe smokers who have been at it the same or less time as them.
