"P P" pipe

A friend just picked up a handsome cross grain Canadian from Iwan Reis here in Chicago while running some errands downtown. The only stamp I could see on it was "P P".

The script looked very much like the Peterson "P", but the shape didn't fit my impression of their line, tho I'm no expert.

Is anyone familiar with this mark?

Being a cross grain, it’s probably going to be hard to tell, and making a definitive response might offend them/they/he/she/her/him.

Pioneer's P was very similar, but you mentioned 2 Ps, plus Pioneer was mostly meerschaum. Peretti's can be a similar font, but always just one P. Pipephil.eu shows a few PP logos, but none are much like the Peterson P.

Perlux. I've seen more then a few Perlux pipes in Chicago area antique shops, so perhaps a possibility.

Hi Lucky. Was it anyone I know who bought the pipe?

I brought him to a CPCC meeting once in the before times, but I can't remember if you were introduced. His name is Andy.

I will try to get him to take a picture of the pipe and stamp for me to post. It's two script "P"s with a little space between, and not quite in - line.

Looks like Paul's Pipes is a match! Thanks guys. I just couldn't see any blemishes, fills, or mis-drills that would make it a second, and it doesn't look at all like a Peterson shape, tho that does look a lot like the Peterson "P".

Paul Menard makes some good looking stuff. I used to browse his Instagram quite a bit back in the day.
