All of my pipes have a vulcanite stem, so at this point it's really not even an issue. But I am thinking about purchasing some Obsidian Pipe Stem Oil (for vulcanite and cumberland stems only) and was curious what WOULD happen if used on lucite?
My official pipe cleaner( my younger son) just the other day put some Obidisian on an acrylic stem and it was really oily. Normally he knows which are the vulcanite stems but he was not paying attention I guess. I docked him a day's pay for the egregious waste of Obidisian.
