I played trumpet and French horn up through high school. Was never more than mediocre technically. Realized somewhere in my early 20's that I have no musical talent. Reinforced that when I tried the bagpipes in my 30's. Now I play the stereo and IPad, fairly well if I do say so myself.

I play a Euphonium, and play in the local community band. It's a great deal of fun and I enjoy it immensely. I also play in Tuba Christmas, a group open only to members of the tuba family.

Now I play nothing. At one time, piano, trumpet, alto recorder, ram's horn, and cardboard mailing tubes, up to 9 feet.

I play country blues guitar, fingerstyle and bottleneck on an old National Triolian from the 30's, as well as some acoustic folk-style and originals. My duo is Wild Cotton (myself and a harmonica player) and we play a lot of folk festivals, house concerts and small local venues. Keeps me sane and in touch with real life, blues and otherwise.
