Well, we don't see that everyday and I just can't pass through; regrets will follow me for a year!
Seems that Peterson "discover" a batch of genuine amber relics and find a guy who's still able to work with that. An event. So I "add to my cart" this one.

Come with a second stem - black acrylic - for everyday smoking. Amber one will be reserve for sundays and for some nostalgic evenings... :)

Superb!
Last year you say? Well, means that Peterson "discover" an old stock of genuine amber each year... :)

I almost had one! Here's Mark Irwins blog entry about this series.

The proportions on the second one are fine; not so much so on the bulldog: The stummel is way larger than the fine amber piece. Is the second stem larger?

My first thought as well.

Yeah, actually when I first read that blog post my impression, too, was that in many of the photos the stems looked too stubby to work well with the bowls. But, when you're trying to use old amber stems, there probably isn't much leeway in the pairing.

Acrylic stem have the same lenght. It seems longer because there's no silver junction on it.

I was thinking of buying one just to keep for trade purposes. I have smoked enough ancient amber stems to know what thats like on the teeth but I am also intrigued to see the presentation. Does the pipe come in a case?

I can't say about the case because I don't receive the pipe yet. It's suppose to be Monday.

Waiting for the new Peterson, here's my other amber stem Pipe; an old Bauer, originally sold with two stems.

I have finally receive my amber stem Peterson (after an unacceptable shambles from UPS...). It cames with a larger box than usual with two sleeves; one with the pipe mounted with the acrylic stem and another one for the stem. Looks great, 2 pipes for the price of one! :

But I was a bit disappointed with the disproportion of the pipe and the stem. The last is short for the pipe. But, well, I have an old Bulldog Ebony 150 (smaller thant the actual 150) that I smoke rarely. So I got an idea! :
