You are welcome Jay. Looks like you posted a picture successfully thanks to woodsroad.
The "Edit" function is only active for something like 6 minutes after you post.
It is 10 min. I think, not sure though.

Welcome. Looks like you're starting out right.
I know a lot of guys here will also suggest you pick up a corn cob pipe or two.

I have a falcon pipe as well, how do you find the smoke quality Jay. I myself prefer a Cob or Briar. They seam to pack and smoke better.

I have the straight falcon and a Shillelagh. Briar bowls seam poor quality these days with Falcons.

Your views warmly welcomed.

Mine is garbage.
It was a $10 buy, just to see if pipe smoking was something I wanted to pursue.
I decided yes to pipes DESPITE that pipe.
It's actually a neat design, but poorly executed. The shank portion is poly chrome over CHEAP plastic. Think 70's model cars plastic.
Now that you've informed me that it's actually a defined category, I may eventually pursue a quality version of one.
The star of the show for me is that little Baraccini pocket pipe. Real nice 20 minute sipper, which works out well for me.
I put an hour in on the Stanwell this morning and I enjoyed it, but I'm not ready for too many 1 hour sessions just yet!
Having fun for now. It's still all new to me...

Thanks Jay, great hobby.

If you ever feel like tossing the Falcon (type) you could always toss it my way.
Kind regards
George
