I've only got 3 Estellas, so I won't generalize, but the 3 I have are good sturdy pipes that've never given a bad or even mediocre smoke. I'm more a fan of the Capri root briar finish & the Tre-type rustication, but the Estellas work well for me.
One of mine is actually technically an Iwan Reis brand, but Estella billiard beyond question -- big, fat, edgy rustication, green stem, the lot. It's a massive b****rd that I swear could double as a blackjack if I needed it to. I can usually get an easy 1.5 hours out of the bowl, or even 2 if I work at it. One of my favorite road pipes for that reason alone, never mind the stellar smoke that it is!

I love the rough and tumble look of the Estella. Before purchasing a couple a few years back, I quizzed the Ol' Cajun about them. He said you can't go wrong and they will be great smokers.

The Ol' Cajun was right, as usual.
