Might I suggest Scottie Piersel?

I have been close (very close) to pulling the trigger on a Scottie Piersel pipe. She will probably be one of my next purchases.

The grain is superb. That's about the only thing I like. The blue stem is too garish. I know blue complements orange, but a different shade woulda been more pleasing to MY eye. I think it's more of an apple shape: too beefy and massive to be a prince.
Anyway, it's YOUR pipe. If you love it, enjoy it! :puffy:

Very nice collection shaping up there.
It may sound odd, but I really like the stamping on that pipe.
You may need to add... Classic Irish

I got a picture of that too, Jay. I grabbed the macro lens to hone in on the stamping.

In most other matters I am liberal, but in pipes conservative. I like straight billiards, dublins, brandies and apples with a black or Cumberland stem. So the blue doesn't do it for me. But I think I could warm up to it did I get to look at it enough. Still, a gorgeous piece.

You've got a gorgeous collection going! And this most recent addition certainly stands out with its clean, modern styling. I actually rather like the blue stem, but blue IS my favorite color after all

To clarify my comment about Instagram being a slippery slope, I did not mean that it is dodgy nor (God forbid) that Nate King isn't a top-notch carver. No, what I meant is that Instagram is the new frontier of direct sales by artisans. It feeds PAD.

I knew exactly what you meant, Craig. I just started doing Instagram a few weeks ago and oh my what a dream land of pipe porn and direct to consumer options. There is great stuff out there.

@rmpeeps, is that your buckle? I lived in Arizona for a few years and that picture brings back memories. And that is also why I chose to photograph the pipe next to a color checker card in order to show the correct shade of blue in the stem. It really is unique apparently from a rare old stock of bakelite.
