Getting the peel off of an orange in one piece. Best part of winter.

I have the man's best interests at heart. I don't want to see him going stir crazy, peeling oranges all winter!

It is my favorite part of winter! I have an "Orange Peel" Case pocket knife that I use to start the orange carefully, I remove the peel, and then carve off any remaining albumen. I can spend ages on it. Meditative. Starter when I was in my early teens, before I knew the magic of the pipe.

You ever do just one long spiral? Had an old uncle that could do that, and it impressed the hell out of me when I was a little kid.

Didimauw, I peel my oranges the same way.
When I worked at an elementary school I would carve the kid's oranges and Cuties like they were pumpkins. I got quite good at it too. It was funny, when the teachers would get notes from parents asking why their kids insisted on having to have oranges for lunch.

I've never actually tried. They usually come off in tons of pieces.
Although I have to say I prefer Clementines and those are much easier to peel in one piece.
