I highly doubt that. Typically when risks are well understood it's hard to get compensation. Though I think there are some civilian medals for surviving the relationship.
In general, writing projects start with a draft but most of the writing happens in re-writing, sometimes ending up with an entirely different piece than the original. Occasionally, the first version is the best version, but more often than not, it takes some gestation. So it is wise not to circulate something until you have had time to consider it over time. If you invite readers to see a draft, it usually ends the project. So I say, take your time. Unless you are Keats, in which case fire away.
