Local Pipe, Cigar, Tea, and Coffee Shop.

I had to run the wife into town today, 30 miles each way. Gave me a chance to run into the only local shop I know of that isnt a cheap smoke shop. Picked up a couple of ounces of the bulk they have. One oz of Proper English and one of voodoo queen.
My question is how likely is it that the blends I got are Altis 523 Voodoo Queen and Peter Stokkebye 52 Proper English not a house blend?
Dont have a chance to buy local often so I want to attempt to match up as close as possible to the voodoo.

Ok cool, didnt know how common it was for locals to make there own blends. They are more into profit than perfection or hobby.

Cigar King in Skokie, Il. claims to mix their own, but I have no real way of knowing. Got a Nightcap replica that smoked great, but having never smoked the original I can't really attest.

I'm curious though to find out if "Voodoo Queen" is possibly Lane Ltd. 1Q.

Or you should say, "a good proprietor" would tell you what it really is. When they do tell me, I actually try to spend more money there but the ones who wont tell me get none of my business anymore.

Ok confirmed my local tobacconist heroes and legacies in Austin calls 1Q "Darfors Castle" or just "Castle"

I have to go into town again today, if I get a chance to swing by I will ask. I dont believe this is 1q though as the cut is not right. lol
The VQ I have requires rubbing out or grinding. IIRC the correct cut name is flake cut.

Well I will no longer be supporting that shop. Asked about the brand as I was picking up a few more ounces. The girl working said she didnt know the brand, I asked if I could leave the owner a msg asking for the info and she stated they dont give out the brand... I walked away leaving her holding $50 in tobacco I was going to buy.
