Besides smoking I also indulge in reading, stargazing, hiking, and keeping up with politics. I play guitar (still an amateur) and listen to music daily.

I enjoy reading history, both fiction and nonfiction books, especially military history. I enjoy natural history and being outdoors hiking, canoeing, or just sitting...with a pipe.
Musically, I enjoy classical, big band, celtic, and rock. Kinda all over the place. There is nothing more relaxing than listening to music...with a pipe.
There is only one decent dog breed to own, a St. Bernard, everything else pales in comparison. :) "Boomer" is my fith companion and he's never complained about "room note".
Here is a picture of Boomer in action mode...he is moving so fast he's just a blur.

Besides collecting Danish pipes, I am a firearms collector. I collect military rifles and pistols from 1890-1960. I shoot some highpower competitions and enjoy recreational shooting, some blackpower and some Ar-15 ,but I'm not a hunter.
Here are a few rifle/pistol pictures I had handy...
This is a Swedish Model 94/14...I hope I look this good when I'm 100 years old.

This is a 1943 Finnish Civil Guard M-39.

This is a 1945 Winchester M1 Garand, a 25th wedding anniversary gift from my wife.

This is a West German Walther P-1, dated 1959...my birth year.

This is a 1939 Mauser P 08 with its matching numbered holster.

This is a 1978 Colt Government Model 1911.

I hope you enjoy the pictures.

I love the 2nd Amendment.

Very nice pictures.

Boomer is a little hard to see.

It's always tough to see what going on in those action shots.

:)

I enjoy reading, video games, and the outdoors. So, 2 out of 3 seem to go well with the other hobby of mine!

Some most excellent looking firearms mlaug.
Besides relaxing while smoking, I would say stargazing and reading are right up there

Congrats Lawrence! Don't smoke around the kiddos and try not to drink to much either. I am here if you need me to drink any excess drinks. Really, I would do that for you I am just that great of a pal.
