Nice score !
Looks like you actually landed an LHS Silvercrest, not Sterncrest. But regardless, that looks like a beauty and good smoker ! Also, unlike with the Irish or English silver marks, I don't know of a good way to get to a date on American silver based on the hallmarks. Or I haven't found one yet ;-) There's some stuff out there on dinner and plate ware, but that's about it.
All that being said. Congrats on the score. For $20... I think you did well.

Thanks! I think you are right Mick, seller emailed and said it is a silvercrest. So no way to really find an approximate age on this one? It was touted as an English LHS, if it is, how does one find the age?

LHS was never made in England to my knowledge. They did have two lines of pipes, the Sterncrest which was supposed to be a higher quality briar and the Silvercrest and Superfine series. But there is surprisingly little to find about them. I have one in my estate box I still need to clean up but here is what I have been able to find thus far.
Knowing that the Silvercrest was made at the end of WW2 and company closed in the 1960's, the pipe was made most likely somewhere in that period ;-)
