Great story of your experience with your B&M. I think that many of us envy you and your relationship with your B&M proprietor. Also, I pleased to hear that you bought an Ascorti because you don't hear that much about a pipe that the Tinder Box used to feature. I have an Ascorti New Dear that I bought in the late 1980's and it always delivers a cool dry smoke. This brand is a real sleeper. Enjoy you new pipe!

The Ascorti is great. It's just a wonderful pipe! I've been enamored with the "New Dear" look ever since I saw it. So, Salewis, I'm a little jealous. The Wizard has a Caminetto New Dear that I think I've decided to save up for. It's just too pretty but pretty pricey. One day it will go home with me!

Your talent in writing has got me thinking. What is so different in your tale than so many others that are written?
Its the pesonal thing. You have a 'down home' honesty that seems to communicate to all of us.
