I was surprised as well as I was for sure Northwoods and I would be best friends.

NW was my favorite in the past but I suspect something changed when McC went out of business.

I have smoked all the in-house blends I purchased: Northwoods, Mild English, Private Stock, and Old School. All have great flavor, very approachable, burn even, and mechanically works well in any pipe. Surprising to me is that I enjoyed Mild English the most. Just a great blend with a wonderful room note.

These are their English blends not the aromatic blends right?

Yeah it is amazing to consider how much McClelland influenced so many blends.

Passed through Chambersburg two days ago. Definitely had to stop! A very nice shop, with friendly staff, and excellent selection. Wish that I had more time to enjoy the lounge, which looked nice.

I did not know that they used McC as blending tobaccos.

As a newbie I can only say what I have tried so far. The only tobacco I have smoked is their house aromatic blends and Northwoods. All of the ones I’ve tried are really good.
