How to prep a coin?

No one mentioned cutting it up?
I've been cutting it up into 1/8th inch little cubes.

I tend to rough it up a little bit, then just stuff it in. If I'm feeling particular, I'll rub one out and ball up most of it, pop it in the pipe, then just layer a few coins on top, with the remainder of the rubbed out coin to top it off.
Its all about the mood.
