Seriously, I've been planning on making an apple pie this Friday and I'm going to try that. Even if I can't get it to work right, I'm sure it'll be entertaining. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks for the tip!

I tried this and it worked great...after I butchered a few apples. Totally worth the apple fatalities during the learning process if you bake/peel apples often.
