Sorry you couldn't get your grandpa's pipes. I need to see if I could track down my grandpa's pipes. He died around 30 years ago, and was not in good health in his later years. So that would make his pipes 35-40 years old at the youngest.

I have asked some my aunts and uncles about it. I know for sure I've talked to two of them, and they didn't have it. But there is till three more to talk to, so fingers crossed.

I'm sorry that the pipes are long gone.
My grandfather's pipes were also discarded after his death over 40 years ago, along with most of his other belongings. I have only recovered two "artifacts" from his life but I have picked up a few anecdotes and stories along the way. You see, I am his namesake, so it has always been important to me to learn more...
I don't smoke a pipe to mimic him, but it is comforting to revive another element of his life.
