When I was a kid I occasionally bought Our Advertiser, Country Gentleman or Bull Durham for 15 cents a sack when Half and Half and Prince Albert and the others were 25 cents.
This reminds me of the old cotton sack tobaccos.
I’d guess more Virginia than Burley, plenty of nicotine, an all day smoke, and a true tobacco taste, and lots of it.

The volume sold of the roll your own grade of shag pipe tobacco is no doubt much more than premium, moist tobacco. There’s much more competition at the low end of the market.
There are ten dollar a pound tobaccos. The twelve dollar a pound tobaccos like Golden Harvest have to earn the extra money.
