She thinks it's nuts how I got so excited over a Country Gent I found. It is after all just a corn cob pipe!

Good to hear. I love my cobs, and probably smoke them at least 50% of the time as of recently.

This is all great news. I've had a couple cobs over the years but have lost them. They smoked fine but I didn't like the stem and the quality seemed a bit questionable. Cob shank, acrylic stem, and a bit more attention to fit/finish would definitely get me to buy another one or two - even if the price goes up a few bucks to compensate.
