I'm not necessarily doing a dry January, but I am trying to limit drinking to only Friday through Sunday. My current habit is a whiskey or two every day when I get off work plus whatever I have on the weekends, and I think my body needs a break from that.

I just concluded my dry January and may have a drink later tonight. It was easier than expected (I recommend it at least one month a year or some other self imposed dry interval to prove we are still master of our domains) even though my wife and I went out to dinner, friends homes, or craft brewers numerous times during the month. An additional plus is the I valiantly served my role as designated driver for the past month, so now it’s my wife’s turn.
