Never occurred to me to do so. Curious as to the results from others. I find it to be a near-perfect if not beyond-perfect (nevermind the mathematical paradox) smoke when dry, if packed with a firm thumb. Otherwise it turns into a dumpster fire.
No, just pack tight and enjoy. I never re-hydrate unless it is a special situation, like preparing a dry blend to store in a jar for aging. But, I never ever ever re-hydrate to smoke. I do the exact opposite.
I think the Semois growers have it right; package it dry and smoke it dry. It's not a tobacco that needs revision. If you like it, it's perfect, and if you don't, you can't fix it up.
