Bit my tongue really badly last night and it'll take a couple days to heal. Instincts are telling me not to smoke until it has, but is there any real reason not to?

Smoke will affect the healing process negatively, as a general rule. But I also bit my tongue recently and smoked anyway. It healed just fine. So, do whatever you like, it'll be fine.

Not worth it to me. But you can do whatever you like. Obviously we all accept some measure of health risk by smoking, but I'm not so attached to smoking that I have to do it every day, and I'd rather smoke when my mouth is in top shape.
