I found some jarred C&D Va Flake from 2018. When I got it, it was orange and good but “green” tasting. I opened it this week and it was a deeper orange color, dried to the perfect moisture level, and a pleasure to smoke. It looked dramatically different than when I jarred it. It wasn’t quite brown, but it didn’t look like the tobacco I jarred, either. It was a fun, if not accidental, experience in aging tobacco that has further convinced me or the joys of a bit of aging the leaf. #I love this hobby! P. S. I will def be cellaring some of this.
