Some of you like me may have some pamplin clay bowls and while I enjoy my clay pipes they use a reed stem and mine at this point needs to be replaced. But before I just go an replace it; it is my leasy favorite thing about my clay bowls. Does anyone know of any other way to stem a clay bowl short of just custom making a stem for them. Seems like a lot of time/scratch when every bowl I have seems a bit different. Any ideas or help would be appreciated, I can't stand having that hard round reed in my mouth. I'd much rather prefer if it was flatter.
