Castello Stem Markings

Were Castello pipes ever made with no stem markings? No bar or diamond? I have a reg. number Castello with nothing on the stem and the gent I got it from wasn't the type who would get a replacement stem.

I checked at the logos and markings website and didn't see anything like that.

I've never seen a Castello without a bar or diamond, but they occasionally do some odd things, so nothing is out of the realm of possibility.

Don't know if the previous owner was the original buyer of the pipe when it was new but I've never seen a Castello pipe without a factory logo unless it was a replacement stem.
