I'm a variety guy, so I guess this is just a mind game, but if you had to choose pipes of only
one material for (say) a long trip, would it be briar, Meerschaum, cob, or clay? Or some other
wood or material for the bowl and shank? Pear, lemon, Mountain Laurel, etc.? And why?
I know from packing pipes for trips, I'm a briar guy at heart. I have cobs, Mountain Laurel,
and clay. I don't buy Meerschaums to fend off yet more PAD attacks (pipe acquistion disorder,
for newcomers). I favor my Mountain Laurel pipes equally with briars, but if I had to choose,
briar's it. How about you?
