Ahh, I do believe I've tried one of those in the past, and although I can't remember much about it, I've heard they're excellent in the category of cigars under $12. I smoke Griffin's 300's (by Davidoff) which is in the same category. I've found cigars are a lot like wine, some of the best are certainly not the most expensive...indeed quite the opposite many times. My Griffin's run about $170 online for a box of 25 (sold at the local cigar shop they're about $12 each), so they're reasonably priced.

only have briar pipes. they smoke fine without relight. but it always goes out with about 1/5 or less at the bottom. used to relight to finish, but i just throw out what's left now.

It may be that you simply have to dry the tobacco a bit more.
I was having the same problem a little while ago and this worked out for me.
Drying the tobacco to the right spot seems to be the key.
