Good stuff there sablebrush52
While we are on the subject -I know there are a lot of guys on here who grow their own. Being Army that's kind of impossible....Unless - is it possible to grow tobacco in a pot or planter? enough to even make it worth it?

The plants get pretty big, depending on what you're growing...maybe 3-5ft tall and they're pretty big around too. I don't know how well you could grow it in a planter, but they would need plenty of sun. Then after you harvest the leaves, you have to have room to store it and let it cure. A friend of mine does it, but I would think it to be a bit difficult if you didn't have room.

Finding tobacco blending information is kinda thin . I guess the indusry have well guarded secrets , like where they purchase tobacco , manufacturing processes and recipes.
Seems like it’s quant 17th century technology which really hasn’t changed much . If you were brewing beer or wine or most any home and garden hobbies , you would get all kinds of sources of great information and modernized equipment. So , the take away is , we are the pioneers of homemade pipe comestbles.
