My wife came home with this tin the other day. Made by Kentucky Club, the tin claims it "is never exactly the same," and "it's a variety of different brands all hand blended together".
Now that sounds a lot like what I've seen posted on the WAYS thread; the proverbial jar of whatever's left from other jars, stuffed into a bowl.
In my cursory Internet search, this blend could have been made somewhere between the 40s and the late 60s, at least in Wheeling anyway. It's listed on Tobacco Reviews, but there is no actual review
I did the old sniff test of the tin, but I can't even get a hint of what may have been in it. It just smells clean.
Has anyone heard of this Blend of the Month, or maybe even had it? Inquiring minds want to know.
