If you are reviewing Samuel Gawith XX Black Twist then I have smoked it and have most of a rope left sitting in a tin. I found it to be very smokey flavored, not very sweet but not terrible either. The nicotine did not bother me as I think Peterson Irish Flake is a bit stronger. Now that my rope is over a year old I think it is time to re visit to make sure it is not for me. I also have a rope of SG Brown rope no 4 and it tasted very similar to the Black rope.

I have been wanting to try any of the rope tobaccos,just to see what they are like. Probally still will, but a different type. Thanks for the post
