Just got this today thanks to a vague listing, crossed Barlings on the stem no shape number. kind of does what it says on the tin grain wise.

Sable's going to lose his mind. That's gorgeous. Barling always has been a stellar name for classic shapes & elegance. I picked up a nice bent egg Barling the other day. Haven't taken any pics yet, but will PDQ!

Jesse lost his mind a long time ago. Fortunately for all concerned, he can find it at will.....
True.
Owen, that's a splendid example of a Guinea Grain and it looks to be in equally splendid shape. The profile is elegant. S-M is the perfect size for a modest smoke. Congrats on a nice addition to your menagerie.

Thank you. I must confess I didn't find the Barling's saddle stem very comfortable but this pipe is indeed very graceful with a great button.

Saddle bits look fabulous on some pipes, Lovats, for example. But on your basic billiard/lumberman? No, just can't see it. It's weird what a big difference a mere 1.75-2" can make.
