I picked up this pipe today in a antique shop. It is a Barling 5905 Block Meerschaum. It is marked as such on the bottom of the pipe and on the stem is a Barling Cross and underneath on the stem says England. I do not know anything about Barlings. I Like the shape and it appears lightly smoked. The pictures here are as I bought it. I will get it cleaned up and post some after pics later in the week. I know there are some Barling collectors on here and was wondering if anyone can tell me anything about it. Thanks in advance.

About the only things I can tell you is that the pipe is no earlier than 1963 and is more than likely later, based on the markings. This one uses African meerschaum. A very handsome pipe! I hope that it smokes well for you.

What a Horrible Pipe...! I have a "Horrible Pipe Disposal Unit" that will take care of it if you'll send it to me. HaHaaa!

What a great find, I'm envious!
