Wow, the detail on that stem mount is impressive. And, I see a progression to beveled bowl tops in the last two offerings. (a detail I really like)

I have been recently emailing MT and am loving the 2013 Dark Blast Christmas Pipe. I have been a good boy this year and think I deserve this:
Do it
Do it...
Do it....
You've been a good boy.
Or, in keeping with the Christmas (Story) theme...
As Schwartz would say ....I Double dog dare ya...
I Triple dog dare ya

I have the 2013 Coral Christmas Pipe. I have been enjoying Hal O' the Wynd in it. It does not hang from the jaw as well as the 2012 Christmas Pipe, but it is still a good clencher. I definitely recommend the pipe. It is my favorite pipe to date.

Production Estimate - 80 to 90 Pipes

Prices $165 to $700

Since this thread has almost runs it's course and everyone is gearing up to receive their Christmas or holiday best tomorrow, I thought I would take a moment and update everyone. I somehow think tomorrow will be a little busy.
About 2 weeks ago I found this on SP.com and finally after over 20 years finished my collection. I now have one pipe for every year Mark has been making them.
Without further adieu, I present the 1984 Christmas pipe
asp_1984_2-vi.jpg

1984 - The Paneled Apple
This pipe is a gorgeous apple with six panels and a curved shank. Mark and Curt teamed up to design this pipe. This pipe is marked 0984/CR 8 and 122584. This indicates it was made in September 1984 by Curt and sold for $ 85 when new. The 122584 indicates it is a Christmas pipe, 1986 would be the first year the pipes would have Christmas stamped on them. These first three years would only have the date for December 25th.
Production Estimate - 18 Pipes

Prices $35 to $100

Tinpan, this has been a marvelous thread, and I have enjoyed the history of ASP and Tinsky pipes that you shared with us, as much as I have the photos. Congratulations on finishing your collection! That is truly an admirable feat, and given how few of the early pipes were made, no small task.
Well done mate, Merry Christmas.

What a wonderful thread! Congratulations on acquiring the 1984, which I think started this whole shebang off! What a find.
On a sad note, the older Tinsky that you referenced that was on Ebay ended this afternoon and I forgot about it. $56.....

I met Tinman today in VA and was able to hold some of these beauties in person. Best of all, the shop had a 2008 in Naked Coral finish marked down 25%. So, now I have my first Mark Tinsky Christmas pipe. I like smaller, acrylic stemmed pipes for work travel, so this one should become a trusted travel companion. It was great to meet you Robin!
