I just bought 11 2oz tins of Sixpence. Some of them are 14 months old and the rest are 8 months old.
The thing that surprises me is that all 11 of these tins are already bulging. This is good right?
I think that I will open one of these soon.

It's not a bad thing. C&D tins seem to begin to bulge quickly. McClelland hardly ever. I guess there is more oxygen in a C&D tin. I do notice McClelland tends to age more slowly in my experience. Anyway, I've never heard of one exploding.

I have some equally old Sixpence... no problems/bulges whatsoever. I did have a bottle of home-brewed beer explode whilst hidden in the parsonage basement once.
