Adhesive for Meerschaum Tenon?

I have a little Paykoc meerschaum, and when I tried to unscrew the mouthpiece the little plastic "connector" unscrewed from the meerschaum mortise itself versus the mouthpiece.
Is there a prefered type of adhesive to use for adhering plastic to meerschaum?
