A few Custom-Bilt pipes

my small collection. Most are early Tracy Mincer.

My first one, a squat apple:

These three are Eugene Rich era.. A carved Bent billiard, two horse heads. Middle one has the rare early style script, non hyphenated:

Large Custom-Bilt, almost 7 inches length, bowl 2 3/8" high. Has shank extension filter:

I am an avid Waterfowler and have been fortunate to find 2 CB pipes that fit right in. One has a retriever holding a dead duck, the other has 3 ducks in a landing posture. I have 5 other CB pipes that are in my rotation. Great pipes.

I'd love to see these.. The carved pipes aren't too common.

Wow! What a great collection! I have been pipe smoking and collection around 3 years now and have recently discovered Custom-Bilt pipes! I have to say they are becoming my favorite to collect and smoke. The carved CB with the horse head is fantastic. Congrats! From what I have read online they are very collectible and hard to come by. Happy New Year!

The Custom-Bilts are hot these days.. restored ones go for a premium. I got lucky with the carved horse head pipe, bought it as part of a lot with a pipe rack included all for 25 bucks. It was in terrible shape, by far the worst condition of all of them.. Cleaned and polished up ok. Most of these were in bad shape but cleaned up well.

Agree, very underrated. I have a half dozen Mincers and they are some of my go-to's. I have 3 doodlers, one is a silver band that is probably my consistently best smoker. I have a mini Rhodesian and a nice freehand billiard (shown) that is a good one as well.
