How Many of You Lucky Dogs Get to Smoke Inside?

I'm primarily a cigar smoker, though being new to pipes, i'm starting to find myself reaching for the pipe more and more often...Anyway, point being, cigars STINK a lot more than pipes...I actually love the aroma of a quality cigar when you get a waft of smoke, but even I can admit a house full...

    Dunhill Pipes Are Overrated

haha fair enough...certainly very subjective.... I was basically looking for the people who don't like them to offer their reasons. Why are the "not what they used to be"?

    Dunhill Pipes Are Overrated

I see this a lot on here, usually in the form of "they're not what they used to be"..."they're good but way overpriced", "Castello is what Dunhill used to be" or similar. Asking why. I've seen a few that catch my eye, but am curious to exactly what about them people see as falling short.

A few newb questions, if you don't mind

interesting....smoke volume isn't paramount, but I kind of like a bit more than wisps...it might also be something I need to just get used to given my cigar background. Flavor is really important and so far I'm really liking english blends....can anyone recommend a burley/latakia blend?

A few newb questions, if you don't mind

thx for responses guys....I think it might just take some time to get used to the difference in smoke production being a cigar smoker. Watching some youtubes I do see that most people aren't blowing out big clouds. I guess getting such thin wisps of smoke kind of surprised me and I assumed I...

A few newb questions, if you don't mind

Hi guys...been smoking the pipe for a few weeks now and I do better on some bowls/smokes than other. The other night I smoked a whole bowl of Captain Earl's Reflections all the way to the bottom without relighting but had to tamp the ash down during the smoke a bunch of times. Since then, I've...

    New Castello

I'm new to pipe smoking but already love it....so I decided to get a second pipe. Just ordered a Castello 55 Collection KKKK. Why do I always gravitate towards such expensive hobbies? I'll post a pic when it comes in. Can't wait.

so far I'm really liking the Quiet Nights...well enough that I ordered 2 more tins. Trying to work on my cadence a bit as I find the pipe either produces hardly any smoke, or conversely, I start drawing too often and it gets really hot. I guess the learning curve is a bit steeper with pipes...

Hi all. i'm a cigar smoker, and do love my cigars but have also always been drawn to pipes...decided to buy a pipe and get started. Always figured a pipe is a good way to get my smoke on when I don't have time to smoke a full cigar. I have a Peterson Baskerville on the way with the...
