I Just Lost My Virginity And F***ed It Up...

@Chris Not easy to get hold of in UK. I wonder if Gawith Hoggarth No.25 Mixture would have been a better beginner's smoke?

@mikefu Interesting. That sounds like my experience, although I was using a blend thats strength was supposedly 'mild'. And I still puked. On half a bowl.

@logs I'm glad you understand. It really is a shame as I have gained so much knowledge on the subject but I can't put it into practice. Mayb I should hold onto my pipe and tobacco and if anyone shows an interest in them, pass on my 'knowledge'. :-)

@alaskanpiper I wouldn't quit if it was just down to lighting problems, and I don't mind the work of packing tamping etc. I would have enjoyed honing my skills. As for taste being awful, I would have definitely given in another few attemps with drier tobacco. But the after effects killed it for me.

@hawky454 Can't think of anything else I've given up so easily on, no. I get migraines anyway, so I have enough headaches and nausea in my life. Voluntarily bringing it on seems a little daft to me. My body is trying to send me a message and I should listen.

I Just Lost My Virginity And F***ed It Up...

@olkofri I tried a few puffs of a cigar once and didn't feel great after that either. If it is the nicotine, then I must have absorbed a surprising amount given that I only took a few non-inhaled puffs. Maybe it's some other additive my body just rejects.

I Just Lost My Virginity And F***ed It Up...

@alaskanpiper Maybe it would have been easier if I had come from a smoking background, but the acrid aftertaste in my mouth was so off-putting, it's very difficult to imagine it being that much different even if i get those elements right.

@tbradsim1 Wait... we are still talking pipe smoking virginity here aren't we?

I Just Lost My Virginity And F***ed It Up...

@trubka2 Knowing me, I'd start getting nauseous from the smell of unburnt tobacco alone! :-)

I Just Lost My Virginity And F***ed It Up...

@pappymac I certainly didn't expect to get it perfectly right. It was the dreadful taste that disappointed me rather than the technique.

I Just Lost My Virginity And F***ed It Up...

@the pipe monk i certainly didn't smoke to much and didn't get the change to go to fast! Light dizziness I could take but full on nausea and sickness from so little? My body seems to be rejecting these chemicals.

I Just Lost My Virginity And F***ed It Up...

@logs If it hadn't been for the post sickness I would be fully prepared to try again until I worked it out.

@mtwaller Maybe you're right. I didn't get a hint of anything pleasant at all, and I'm not a fan of that cigarette taste.

I Just Lost My Virginity And F***ed It Up...

@hawky454 The funny thing is, the breathe technique was about the only bit i got right! No tongue bite either.

I Just Lost My Virginity And F***ed It Up...

@hugodrax True, but I had no problem working out how to pour it and taste the flavour.
