    Terrible experience selling on 4Noggins

Going from spending literally hours over the years on the phone with Rich, enjoying his fantastic and creative knowledge to sending several emails with zero response from the new owner who also doesn’t answer his phone just makes me sad. Best of luck OP, better to avoid that place now unfortunately.

Expensive Pipes - To Each His Own (Continued)

I wonder if anyone here has smoked many dozens of bowls in several $1,000 plus pipes and can chime in. Most high end collectors I know will say that these pipes are very much worth the price of entry. On the flip side, the “I’d never pay more than $300” folks often have never even held a high...

    Esoterica

And P&C sends the back order email….again….again. They need a better inventory system. Those poor young gals answering the phones for 10 hours straight. “Hey boss, I sold 1,783 bags of Stonehaven.” “Great job, keep selling. “ Oh shoot, we only received 8 bags….

    Bowl Temp Question

None of my bowls get very warm but I think more important is your cadence and drying technique. I highly recommend loading 2 cobs with the same tobacco. One much dryer than you have been doin, one normal. Char light both and trade smoking between the two every few puffs.

Rolex, the best Swiss mechanisms that can keep time poorly lol. They are pretty and feel great on the wrist tho. I guess if we are fortunate enough to purchase one, we are fortunate enough to not care about loosing a minute or so a day? This is not a dig by any means but rather irks me the watch...

I Still Cannot Pack a Bowl Well?

If the last half of a bowl starts tasting wet you can run a pipe cleaner, set it down or just stir it all up and lightly tamp while sipping more slowly. It might not be a popular technique but it sure gets the flavors tasting better. Try it and see, there are no rules as long as you are...

I Still Cannot Pack a Bowl Well?

Most new pipers, including me, practices/researches/takes notes on packing bowls lol. Now 20 years later we say “idk, I just fill it and smoke it”. Here’s my 2p. Pack two bowls differently with the same tobacco. Smoke both at once taking turns. Use your pick half way through and stir it all up...

A Porsche will make you forget you have children, like camping or know how to ride a bike. It’s like LSD, only more fun and much less illegal.

Expensive Pipes - To Each His Own (Continued)

Noooo, don’t. Both you guys are laying out yuge breadcrumbs. This Pipe forum seems like it’s half industry shills, a quarter long term pipe buds (half who are bored) and a quarter young new pipers who want to argue. Plz don’t make this forum more contentious. That’s what the other zillion sites...

Thanks for the quick reply. I would enjoy having a beer and debating with you. Being it’s here on SM, I think you just touched on my questions and introduced several more morsels that will create conflicting debate. As for a Porsche, if you ever get to drive one for a weekend, you will forget...

Expensive Pipes - To Each His Own (Continued)

Serious question here. If biz owners don’t think marketing has mystical powers to push desire/demand, then why do companies spend so much on marketing? How is FacePlant worth zillions of dollars? Why do “influencers” get paid? Thanks in advance for reading.

    Expensive Pipes--To Each His Own

8 pages and maybe 3 nice pictures of pipes and some gorgeous pipes in a cardboard box. I just kept hoping for more pics of expensive pipes but all I got was debate. Hey @Chasing Embers, how is the hot Kharatonov set smoking? Those are very very nice.

    Recommendation for More Unique Pipes

I have many pipes that I have found online and are terrific smokers. Sadly almost as many I don’t like and would not have purchased if I could have held first. Now I either travel to a B&M or save my dough for the pipe shows.
