    Blending Your Own?

well, maybe I should call it "mixing," since the term blending does have specific connotations to pipe smoking. zyrcon, actually that's what I tried when I did tried it. like what rigmedic1 was saying, I was trying to use up some aromatic that I didn't like. but what does everyone think: apple...

    Changed Up My Coffee Drinking

black coffee dark roast from Africa, is my way. I sigh a little when at the shop the darkest roast is from Colombia or somewhere else in South America. I know I'm a snob  I enjoy espresso and french press, but my parents have a Bunn drip coffee machine that I always enjoy when I stay at...

    Blending Your Own?

Well, so far I only tried blending once ... the flavors I have right now are so interesting individually, I'm just sticking them in separately and feeling satisfied ... maybe I'll come to blending down the line. I think rothnh had it right, but I do want to make an "apple pie" blend down the...

    Changed Up My Coffee Drinking

Black coffee is the way to go. If it's too hot outside to drink black coffee ... put it on ice! I love black iced coffee and never can understand why the Vietnamese ruin theirs with milk and sugar ...

    Poetry

not mine, but I found this recently: For you alone - Bob Hicok One knows the world is falling slightly faster than rising, this is why one has the second beer or tries to stretch the triple into a love affair. One is called out at home and asks the ump how anyone can know anything for...

List Your Other Hobbies / Interests

I really want a new trumpet ... saving up. I play a Bach Stradivarius Model 37, but my mouthpiece is exciting: Asymmetric Lead 342. It has really increased my range w/o significant sacrifice to endurance.

    Blending Your Own?

Thanks, I feel like a started out with some really sub-standard tobacco (I bought bulk, and it didn't have a name on it, just a flavor: coffee, but it doesn't really smell or taste like coffee to me!), but the local place near me had some great options and as I get more comfortable with the...

    New Members, Introduce Yourself!

Hello, my name is dug, but since I am a sometime jazz musician/trumpet player, I chose the moniker "dizzieranddizzer" after the great pipe smoker/trumpet player Dizzy Gillespie. A good friend of mine in Chicago introduced me to pipe smoking some years back ('04), but only decided to purchase my...

    Blending Your Own?

Hello all, I'm a new pipe smoker and my introduction came from a friend of mine that would blend his own tobaccos. What I mean is that he would get some Stokkebye Black Cherry Cavendish or something sweet and mix in something less flavorful. Is this a sacrilege?
