I think I would get more resistance to taking up riding a motorcycle than I have to smoking my pipes. I'm 60 and started with my pipes in 2000-02. My wife financed my first "fancy" pipe at $50. Who's the best person to re-stem a 1970s meerschaum?
Mike Myers (Walker Pipe Repair) referred me to Floyd and Ken Norwood about 6 months ago. The Norwood's do fast work w/ satisfactory results. What Is Your Pain Threshold For A Pipe?
To add a unique meer snipe to my collection, I go 200 or so. For an unusual carved briar with bark and leaves, maybe 75-100. For pipes to smoke, 10 is the limit. -bw- bwithers55
