I didn't know she was still alive either. When my girlfriend told me she passed I said, "Jeez, what was she? A hundred?" Close enough.

The whole 2016 thing hasn't been about the age of those that have died, it's just been a very bad year for celebrity deaths.

Here is an interesting BBC article discussing 2016 celebrity deaths.

I was a bit bummed about John Glenn, although he did live a longer and certainly more accomplished life than most. Mostly I don't care about celebrities, even those whose work I enjoy, but I have to admit...some of the deaths do bum me out momentarily. Their deaths usually make for great inappropriate gallows-humor though.

I loved her, especially when she slapped that traffic cop. She got her dime's worth out of that incarnation.

Zsa-Zsa certainly was a beauty, but I always found her pretty cold and brittle, though often really funny. She was one of the inventors, at least in our time, of being famous for being famous. Eva had more warmth, but in both cases, the heavy accents made doing parts in English pretty specialized. They made a good business of it, in any case. RIP to Zsa-Zsa, after her 99 years, and RIP to the estates of her many and various husbands.
