What do you think?Hi guys do you think the wick is too far up ?

Does it matter that the wick is too far up? I find that it produces a large flame but I'm not sure if that's a good thing ?What do you think?
If the flame height is to your liking it's fine if not keep trimming until it is.
I've found they go out too easy like that. Maybe reducing oxygen area in the chimney and snuffing the flame.Does it matter if the wick is too far up ?
Thanks
You've answered your own question. Is it okay to have a larger flame ? I'm just afraid that it will burn the pipe that's all
Thanks
Zippo flame is even softer than Bic. It will flare up, but the flame will point up through the round hole. And when you apply the flame to tobacco, you don't want to touch the Zippo or keep it too near the pipe rim for too long. To manage the flame size, trim that wick to about center of the round hole or slightly shorter. That will give you smaller, more manageable flame. Is it okay to have a larger flame ?
