Zippo Factory Visit

Recently toured Zippo showroom at the factory in Bradford PA. Fantastic display of new and early lighters in several large rooms. You can watch lighters being repaired free of charge due to life time guarantee. They also produce the Ronson pipe lighters and will replace same without receipt. They don’t make a side light butane lighter insert but the Ronson line makes folding tool pipe type with lighter and logo. Well worth the visit. Also have huge retail display of Case knives.

Cool! Trivia- the founder, George Blaisdell, liked the sound of the word “zipper” so he formed variations on the word until he settled on “Zippo,” which he felt had a modern sound… in the early 1930’s.

Very cool! We may take a day trip that way. Just under 6 hrs.

I've always wanted to go there, but never got quite close enough. Sounds pretty cool. Lighters and Case Knives, under one room - magic!

Worth the stop. Interesting movie, a montage of Zippos in movies (not one of several on YouTube). The temptation to buy another Zippo or Case knife is rather strong while inside. Strange, but I don't remember seeing any of the actual factory, other than the repair facility. Dunno.

Hey. Anyone ever seen this site? New to me. Jazzed-up Zippos.
