Not too sure who got the better of the deal
I used to smoke mainly quality cigars and the wife love them. She has never gotten into pipes.
My wife will smoke (and enjoy) pretty much any of the blends I have, save for a heavy English or something similar.
Latakia is out of the question...
I can smoke anything I want but English. She literally gags and looks sick so I don't. But she hates all of them.
My wife generally likes all of them. The one that consistently gets an "ooh that smells nice, what are you smoking?" Is Virginia No.1. Not my favorite, but evidently a crowd pleaser.
My better half enjoys Blood Red Moon (TK6), Molto Dolce, Moontrance, and Vanilla Roll Cake. She lets me smoke in our front parlor area. (I have a wonderful wife!

Yup BRM and Molto Dolce. I've made 2 of my work blends part of the 2 mentioned mixed with some ODF and some cut up Gawith black Irish X or whisky twist for some extra N and they keep the same room note but with a better nic hit for me
Mine tends to hate aromatics, but loves sweet oily Virginias and the absolute stankiest campfire-y latakias. Doubly loves the smell on my beard afterwards.
It’s funny, I try to smoke outdoors and wash my face, and brush my teeth after each smoke, but if she had her way I would be blowing the smoke directly into her face and avoiding cleaning myself like some kind of troglodyte.

I smoke inside almost always, so I ask my wife if she does or doesn't enjoy something whenever I smoke a new blend.
She likes my daily smokes - Acadian Perique, various VaPers, McClelland blends, etc. She seems to enjoy all the Virginias I smoke. She doesn't like Latakia, which is good because neither do I.
She's pleasantly surprised whenever I smoke a Kentucky blend. Also the KBV blends seem to get a positive reaction from her.

I only smoke in the workshop or outside but, sometimes the misses sits with me in the shop and I’ll smoke Autumn Evening. She doesn’t like the smell of the Virginias and Vaps I smoke and really hates English blends. I only smoke the aromatics when she’s around. However, this summer we were sitting around the gas fire pit I built. Seeing we were outside I was smoking an English blend. We noticed that the mosquitoes hated the smell and stayed away. Now when we are sitting outside she tells me to smoke English and to keep smoking so she doesn’t have to deal with the mosquitoes. Lol.
I think she tends to prefer anything not Latakia. She's commented positively to Golden Sliced, and Doblone d'Oro. She tends to comment more negatively on pipe breath than the room note. However, Cuban cigars - her eyes light up! Takes her back to those times back on the beach drinking rum and smoking a good Habanos.
Now I'm curious to set up an experiment measuring comparative mosquito density in areas burning latakia, VA, an aromatic, and nothing. I wonder if you're on to something there...
Mine has never smoked anything in her life, not so much as one drag from a cig. I voluntarily smoke outside and in the workshop only. The only one she's commented on was Half & Half, but the comment was about the contrast between the pleasant pouch note and the unpleasant room note.
