There have been some good recommendations here. I'd like to throw out MacBaren's Solent Mixture. Not exactly a "heavy" English but its fantastic in my opinion and highly underrated. Smoky, sweet, creamy and complex. I find this to be an extremely elegant and refined blend.

Try MacBaren's HH Vintage Syrian. Lots of latakia; smoky and sweet. Not topped like their Solent. HH VS has taken the Solent's place in my rotation.

C&D Engine 99. The red Virginias really show there, supported by the Izmir.
One must keep adequate moisture in this bulk blend lest it become harsh which it is likely to become if too dry.

If you're looking a non-aromatic style sweetness in your English, there are really only two blends that come to mind right off the bat, Lancer Slices and Samuel Gawiths Commonwealth. Both of these blends are consistent solely of VA and Latakia, and those are the two components you are going to want to look for in large numbers. Black House has some sweetness, although I don't know if I'd call it heavy, but there are a lot of other flavors at play in that blend. Good luck in your hunt and let us know what you find!
