Pawpaw, thats one fine lookin cob you got there ! Burley Flake in a cob is good stuff too.

I keep thinking I have a favorite pipe, then I move on through the rotation and think the same about the next pipe to come out of the cabinet.

Picking out a favorite pipe is like picking out a favorite kid, nearly impossible. If I had to save one in a fire it would be my Dunhill 6101 ring grain.

This one:

It basically smokes itself.
It is a Savinelli zulu-shape (404).

I love all my pipes - but here is my current Favorite. A Roy Frames Jr. Freehand Poker - absolutely solid pipe- smokes like a dream - and the coloring reminds of me of an Eltang pipe I had years ago:

Thanks, nikko. It originally was a leather-wrapped Longchamp, but it was so old and in such poor condition, the leather literally disintegrated when I cleaned it. The briar was solid, though so after determining it smoked well, I mailed it off to jasongone for rustication. He did a deep red dye and black rust that really turned it into a piece of art. I decided that I am only going to smoke 3 Oaks Syrian in that pipe, my first baccy dedicated pipe.
