Driving back today from a meeting with a new client, I saw the opportunity to try that tin of Crown Achievement that was in the glove box. Oh, very nice stuff, indeed. I'll have to try it again when I can pay more attention to it. But halfway to home, I was stricken with hunger, and realizing that there was a package of Girl Scout Lemonades on the back seat, I put the pipe down and munched a few cookies. Hey, not a bad combo. Puffed a bit, chomped a bit, puffed a bit, chomped a bit...thoroughly enjoyable!
Made me wonder: What is your favorite Girl Scout Cookie/Pipe Tobacco combination?

My favorite cookie is, no surprise here, the "Thin Mint." One of nature's most perfect foods as is. Any attempt to improve the glorious "Thin Mint" would, in my humble opinion, only take away from the gastronomic delight that is the "Thin Mint." Like bacon, whose taste can only be improved if served with more bacon, the "Thin Mint" should, when served as an entree, be the only item on the plate, unadorned and unaccompanied. Indeed, the "Thin Mint" is quite capable of providing a full meal with a day's worth of calories right from the box. They are also quite acceptable straight from the freezer, frozen into a delectable treat.
The "Thin Mints" is one of only a couple foods that would not benefit when wrapped in a rasher of bacon. Wouldn't hurt though!
Of course, to each his own I suppose as the lady who kissed the cow observed.

A 1000 gustables for the disappointment Woodsroad. I'll pickup a box of Somoas and the Peanutbutter and do some trials when they go on sale up here. This weekend I think. God knows I wouldn't want you to be disappointed!

That's better, Warren.

Good boy.

And make sure that the cookies aren't too wet when you eat them, or you'll get tongue bite.
But also be sure and check the ingredients on those cookies, they are adding all sorts of wacky stuff to them these days. The Lemonades that I ate had difrangible blioxide and monofiliment tetraplaystation in them. Granted, those ingredients were listed well below the Baking Pewter and Plumbium Pliacetate, so there wasn't a whole lot of it there, but all I know is that my mom only used fluor, basking soil, ducrose, flucrose and flagilated bovine mammalian gland excretions in her cookies. And they was GOOD.
WTF is going on in the world?

Samoas. I guarantee they'll go with any tobacco you pair them with. That is, unless you don't like Samoas.

" I just had one of those laughs you can't get rid of. "
Then my work here is done.

Next question, please.
" I suggest Trefoils ...maybe paired with FVF and a single malt"
Mention it at the next Brownies meeting, there should be a badge for that!
