I'm sure this has been posted and sorry if I'm adding something which does not need repeating but here goes.
What is your favorite English (Latakia) blend of all time?

I've been able to try quite a few to date and so far I'm still saying mine will always be,
McClelland 3 Oaks! The Cyrian adds so much for that extra hint of sweetness.
Again, thank you jah for introducing me to this blend. I just wish it was sold in bulk!

Man, that Three Oaks Syrian is a lovely blend... Personally, I find myself reaching for Legends a little more often. So I'm going to have to go with McClelland's Legends.

Welll, I don't have one. I'd guess my top 3 would be MacB HH Vintage Syrian, Peterson Old Dublin, and McCranie Murdock's Pipe. :puffy:

Nightcap. Can't be happy without it.
I also really like 965. Chelsea Morning and Samarra are also fine offerings from G.L. Pease.

I like a lot of different ones. Dunhill Nightcap is a longtime favorite and G.L. Pease Odyssey is another that I like a lot.

I agree that Three Oaks Syrian is a damn fine latakia blend. I find myself reaching more and more for the Oriental heavy English blends these days. Samuel Gawith Skiff Mixture, Dunhill Night Cap, Rattrays Red Rapparee and the like.

Dunhill Nightcap, Balkan Sasieni and Larry's Blend.
There are so many wonderful choices out there, Durham.
Enjoy the journey.

Westminster, Nightcap, MM965 are in my regular rotation, Chelsea Morning, Quiet Nights, and Margate are in the second tier, and FM/FMOTT, Mississippi River, Plum Pudding are regular sidesteps when I want something a little different but still within the genre. Penzance used to be a contender but it's too hard to get so it drops off. Maltese Falcon, Squadron Leader, and EMP have recently been opened but not enough experience to make the list.

I'd say frog Morton is easily a contender. I'm also a fan of Epiphany, but I find it a bit uninteresting. Which sometimes is what I want.

Nightcap, but Westminster is right up there. It's also more of a straightforward "classic" English in my eyes, so it's really close.

Well after crossing over from the cigar world (for about 20-years)

I was looking for something with super-strong flavors to initiate

me into the pipe smoking world and felt it was a good start before

moving on to my now beloved pure Vs, VaPers, etc
MC Three Oaks is a fantastic blend....here comes the "taste the rainbow" list ;-)
Dunhill's Nightcap, London Mixture and EMP

MC's Bombay Extra

C&D's Billy Budd, Bow-Legged Bear & Crooked Lane, SOTE

Low Country Tobacco's Cooper

NYPC's Jack's Shanty

MC Frogs-All of them

L.J. Peretti's Royal & Omega

Boswell's Northwoods

H&H Blackhouse, Mag Opus and Cerberus
That is a good starter list and making me drool thinking about

each blend ;-)

Chief Catoonah's Princes Street Mixture (Scottish mixture, I believe)

Sterling 1776 Tavern Blend (an American style "English")

Esoterica Penzance

Esoterica Pembroke

McClelland Blue Mountain

Dunhill 965

Frog Morton on the Bayou

G.L.Pease Sextant
These are really all variations of a theme, and all contain Latakia.

Is have to say GLP Westminster, Star of the East, & London Mixture. I'd throw in Pirate Kake, but I don't know if you'd call it an English. It's 70% Latakia, Turkish and Cavendish Burley. No Virginias.
